PAF C-130 Wows the World, Wins ‘Concours d’Elegance’ Trophy at RIAT 2025
LONDON / ISLAMABAD – July 19, 2025
The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has once again proven its aviation excellence on the global stage as its iconic C-130 Hercules transport aircraft clinched the prestigious “Concours d’Elegance Trophy” at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2025, one of the world’s largest and most respected military airshows, held at RAF Fairford in the United Kingdom.
The C-130, representing PAF with a stunning and intricately designed special livery, stood out among dozens of aircraft from leading air forces across the globe. The aircraft was awarded for its outstanding maintenance, superior presentation, and artistic excellence, earning it the top honor in aesthetic and technical categories.
According to state-run media and the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the PAF C-130’s theme for RIAT 2025 was “Eyes in the Skies”, and its design captivated both international spectators and aviation experts. The aircraft’s spotless condition, attention to detail, and the story behind its artwork impressed judges and audiences alike, setting it apart as the finest aircraft in its class at the event.
The Concours d’Elegance Trophy is awarded to the aircraft judged to be the best-maintained and most beautifully presented at RIAT. This recognition places Pakistan among the top-tier global aviation powers, showcasing PAF's commitment to precision, discipline, and innovation.
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, congratulated the PAF team on this achievement, stating:
“Winning the Concours d’Elegance is a proud moment for the entire nation. It reflects not only our technical capability and aesthetic excellence but our unwavering dedication to professionalism. This triumph is a testament to PAF’s official motto—‘Second to None’.”
This is not the first time the Pakistan Air Force has impressed at RIAT. The PAF previously secured accolades in 2006, 2016, and 2018, and now, with the C-130’s victory in 2025, that tradition of excellence continues.
As the national flag soared high over UK skies, the C-130 Hercules once again reminded the world that Pakistan’s airmen—through skill, passion, and pride—truly are Second to None.
